Our Food Ethos
It’s simple really. From farm to rooftop, from producer to plate, we have a personal and local relationship with all of the produce that comes into 2K.W Bar & Restaurant.
Executive Chef, Trent Lymn is a self-described unconventional chef who studied art at university, worked with a gastropub pioneer in London and ran his own café-restaurant in Argentina.
For Trent, it’s all about creating a flavourful, quality experience with every single dish on our menu, especially when fusing together Australian native and fire vegetables which will feature heavily in our 2021 menu, set to drop later this month.
These native flavours will also be the highlight of our 2021 Dessert Menu, using ingredients like Davidson Plum and Geraldton Wax – unsung heroes of the Australian foodscape.
Our focus is to support organic and bio-dynamic local growers and SA driver produce such as legumes and grains.
Our Wine Ethos
Our philosophy for this wine list was to make sure that there was something for everyone, that you could look through and find the perfect wine for any occasion.
”Working in a venue that is frequented by tourists regularly, we felt that having a wine list that is championed by producers from our great state was very important.”
During summer we want to be able to offer some beautiful, lean and aromatic styles of white wine, such as the 2020 Ministry of Clouds Riesling which is drinking superbly. Of course for those who drink red wine only, there is a full array of styles, from Pinot Noir to Shiraz, to keep you satisfied.
